Had (2) Centrifugal Chillers go down on them at the same time. needed their system back up and running.
Facility was originally built for a department store and was re-purposed to be a storage facility. The conversion of the facility decreased the heat load tremendously (less bodies in the building).
Solution & Outcome
ACIS ran a heat load test to determine the current load based on its conditions. The results indicated the facility could increase energy savings by simplifying their system, replacing the units with an air-cooled chiller, rather than doing a direct replacement. This conversion would also reduce the amount of maintenance needed on the equipment and save them money.
We de-commissioned the (2) existing Centrifugal Chillers and installed (1) air cooled chiller meeting their current heat load conditions and increase energy savings. We also used synthetic piping, reducing the possibility of internal corrosion versus traditional piping and increasing longevity.
RIGHT MOVE STORAGE WAS AWARDED AN ONCOR INCENTIVE FOR THIS PROJECT BASED ON ENERGY SAVINGS GAINED FROM OUR CONVERSION SOLUTION.
